Marriage Preparation

Requirements:

  • First submit a Wedding Inquiry
  • Appointment with Parish Priest
  • 7 Week Preparation Class (Prepare & Enrich)
  • Theology of the Body Class (God's Plan for Love)
  • Natural Family Planning Class 
  • Guided Marriage Session with Rejoice Counseling
  • Submit pertinent documents (Baptismal Certificate, Affidavit of Freedom to Marry, etc.)
  • Reading Selections (from the United in Christ book)

Wedding Fees & Honorariums

The fees below do not cover the entire costs of having a wedding at SSJ. The fees however, help defray the expenses of hosting a wedding.

Sts. Simon & Jude Basic Wedding Fee

Includes facilities and some of the programs, and materials as noted below. The Wedding Fee is due in order to reserve your date and to begin Marriage Preparation Programs. See details below for additional program fees, options, exceptions, and inclusions.

Church Main Sanctuary (seats 750+)

$650.00 Registered Parishioner – Must be registered 6 months prior to wedding date.

$850.00 Non-Registered Parishioner


Chapel (seats up to 100)

  • Registered Parishioner $250 - Must be registered 6 months prior to wedding date.
  • Non-Registered Parishioner $450

 

Preparation Only (wedding ceremony elsewhere)

  • Registered Parishioner $250 – Must be registered 6 months prior to wedding date.
  • Non-Registered Parishioner $450


Honorariums

Honorariums for Priests and/or Deacons are not included. These amounts are determined by the couple and given to the Wedding Coordinator at the wedding rehearsal.
